Chichester High grad Curlett named Academic All-American tennis scholar-athlete
(San Rafael, CA) The Dominican University of California women's tennis team has been named to the 2012 Intercollegiate Tennis Association's NCAA Division II Academic All-American list and two of its players, Jessica Curlett and Gaby Verspieren, have been recognized as ITA national scholar athletes.
Curlett, who will be a senior in the fall, majors in English with a writing emphasis. She is from Chichester High School in Aston, Pa.
Verspieren is a Biological Sciences major. The senior-to-be is from St. Francis High School in Fair Oaks.
A transfer from Gonzaga University, Verspieren also was named second team Pacific West Conference in May, along with her doubles partner Irina Morozova.
�I am very proud of the ladies� commitment to their academics,� said Penguins tennis coach Greg Kennett. �They are a true credit to the University and display the great attributes of what a student-athlete is meant to be.�
The Penguins this past season also hosted the Pacific West Conference Women�s Tennis Championships, held at the Marin Tennis Club and Terra Linda High School.
BYU-Hawaii, which won the PacWest tournament championship, and Dominican were the only two PacWest schools to receive ITA Academic All-American recognition.

Andrew Keith Webster, age 40, departed this life Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at home.
He is survived by his mother, Phyllis Webster, 3 sisters, Pamela Flaherty (Robert), Julia Ann Rushton (Robert) and Cynthia Gregory (Greg); his wife, Jennifer O'Connor, his step-father, George Dill and George's daughter, Christine Ann Jenkins.
Keith attended the public schools of Upper Chichester and graduated in 1990 from Chichester High School, and later attended CHI Technical College in Springfield, PA.
Keith worked as an Equipment Technician at Leisure Fitness in Newark and also at Lukens Steel for over 10 years. He was fun loving and a friend to many.
On September 26, 1998, he was united in Holy Matrimony to Jennifer O'Connor. He was an avid fan of the the Philadelphia Flyers and the Philadelphia Eagles. He loved his dog, Harley and also enjoyed all kinds of music including spiritual and heavy metal. In his younger years, he worked on equipment maintenance while attending Philadelphia Church of Our Savior, with his mother.
Funeral Service will be 8 pm Thursday, May 10, at Congo Funeral Home, 2317 N. Market Street, Wilmington, DE 19802, where friends may view from 6-8 pm. Burial Friday in Gracelawn Memorial Park.
1975 - 977 Joint Class Reunion
This Reunion is scheduled for Saturday, January 2, 2010 from 7 pm to 11 pm at the Ballrooms at Boothwyn – Boothwyn Firehouse.
The tickets are $25.00 per person, with hot and cold hors d’oeuvres as well as beer, wine, sodas and dancing with a DJ.
We do need payment ASAP as the absolute DEADLINE is December 21st.

1974-1977 Joint Class Reunion
Hello Classmates and Friends!
A plan is in the works for a Chichester High School joint class reunion for the classes of 1974-1977 and it will be here before we know it!
The tentative date is Saturday, January 2, 2010 from 7 pm to 11 pm at the Ballrooms at Boothwyn – Boothwyn Firehouse.
We are doing our best to keep the tickets at $25.00, and are planning on serving hot and cold hors d’oeuvres as well as beer, wine, sodasand dancing with a DJ.
